Get Over It!
Will Ya, Please?

“[God] hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:5,6)

Are you depressed?  Are you tired of living?  Do you feel stressed and hopeless?  Can’t seem to figure out what “life” is all about?  Are you physically ill?  Do you have financial problems that plague you endlessly?  Possibly your children or other family members are so “out of control” there seems to be no hope for them either. 

I have three words of advice for you.  Get over it!  

Now don’t be offended.  Keep reading.  You’re gonna like this.

Satan is the source of all your problems, not God.  Let’s get that straight right now.  God is never your problem.  God is always your solution.  

Satan tricked Adam, the “father” of the human race, into disobeying God in the Garden. (Genesis 3)  By doing so, Satan was able to strip man of his God-given authority and folks have been going through “Hell on Earth” ever since! 

But there’s Good News!  Jesus came to the Earth in the form of a man.  As a “man” He took back the authority that Adam as a “man” gave to Satan. (Philippians 2:6-8)  A man gave it away, so only a man could legally take it back.  That having been said, Jesus has now delegated that authority to you but only IF He is your Savior. (Matthew 28:18,19; Mark 16:15-20) 

Now let me shift gears for a moment.  Some people are of the mistaken religious idea that God is over Jesus, Jesus is over the angels, the angels are over Satan and evil spirits, and Satan and his demons are over man.  This is NOT what the Bible teaches. 

The Bible teaches that God is over Jesus and Jesus is over men and women. (1Corinthians 11:3)  Men and women are over the angels. (Psalm 103:20; Hebrews 1:14)  Men, women and angels are over Satan and all evil spirits! (Daniel 10:13; Luke 10:19; James 4:7) 

Did you get that?  Man has been placed over angels and demons both! 

That’s what the Bible means by stating that Believers in Jesus have been made to sit “together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”  All who have made Christ their Savior are now seated far above all demonic principalities and powers.  Any authority these defeated entities may have once possessed has been stripped away and given to the Believer. (Colossians 2:14,15; Hebrews 2:14)

As a Believer you are Crowned with Glory and seated above Satan who is the source of all your problems. (John 10:10)  When you speak to him in Jesus’ Name, he must stop all attacks against you. (James 4:7) 

Satan, the source of all depression, suicide thoughts, hopelessness, confusion, sickness, poverty, out of control family members is “under your feet,” so to speak.  You have been seated over him.  Satan and all demon spirits are subject to your authority! 

As a Believer in Jesus, you can absolutely use your authority in prayer to cause things to change! (John 14:13; 16:23) 

However, if Jesus is not yet your Savior, things will continue to be “out of order” for you.  You’ll not be able to exercise authority over Satan and demon spirits.  You’re not over any of them.  They’re “all over you.” (Acts 19:14-16) 

So why not simply say, “Jesus, You’re my choice.  I desire to be seated above Satan and all this trouble.  I want to get over it!” (Romans 10:13) 

Now you know what I meant when I said, “GET OVER IT!”
