The Simple, Vital, Biblical Basics

Someone once said to me, “I don’t believe Christians should get involved in Politics or Government.”  My response?  “Neither did Hitler, Mussolini, Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hussein, Bin Laden nor Kim Jong-il. Neither does Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, Hu Jintao, Bashar al-Assad, Fidel Castro or even Satan himself!"

Please understand this.  It is not God’s will for His Family to leave the running of World Government to the cruel and ungodly.  He would not deliberately place His obedient beloved Family under obligation to obey a government they have no say in.  God is not foolish.  He has ordained Law and Government to prevent and avenge wrongdoing, as well as to commend those who do right. (Romans 13:1-8; 1Timothy 1:8-10) 

Not only does the Almighty require that His children involve themselves in Law and Government, He commands them to pay taxes. (Mark 12:17)  He also commands them to support moral, organized Government on every level, especially the Presidency of the most powerful Nation in the world. (Matthew 11:19-21; Romans 13:1-7; Ephesians 4:10; 1Peter 2:13-17) 

This Country was founded on Christian principles.  Click here to study our Christian Heritage at WallBuilders.Com.  The Bible was used extensively in the Educational System until the 1830’s.  At that time Massachusetts’ Senator Horace Mann used his influence to begin the removal of every reference to God from all educational textbooks.  In spite of that, 75% of all Americans claim to be “Christian” yet they do not have a strong enough voice in American Government.  Christians must use their influence to bring about the universal good of humanity.  One way to do this is through Government involvement and VOTING. 

I’m going to take a deep breath to make the next statement.  You don’t have to be up on the regulation of HMO’s, Tax Reform, re-legitimizing Government in the eyes of the Middle Class or the eventual replacement of the Social Security system by individual investment accounts to vote properly.  Wheww.  That’s a mouthful but it’s true. 

It’s not all about “the economy, stupid,” either.  These things all matter little to God.  There’ll be no economy if America continues to refuse to do things God’s way.  Christians who don’t “bother” to vote, as follows, have no basis for complaint when they don’t get their prayers answered. (Isaiah 1:19)

#1 Vote for Pro-Israel Candidates.  God will protect and provide for any Nation that will do the same for Israel. 

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. …Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.” (Psalm 122:6-9) 

Call candidates’ offices and ask questions.  Check voting records. Contact the 700 Club by clicking here on CBN.Com.  It’s easy.  You just have to want to obey God.  You’ll find more helpful links at the end of this article.

#2 Vote for Pro-Life Candidates. The Almighty sets His face against baby killers. (Leviticus 20:5)  Life in the womb, whether it’s the 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd Trimester or 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd minute is an act of the Almighty. (Ephesians 2:10)  Interrupt it and answer to Him. 

God will interrupt America’s work in progress as a World Power if America keeps interrupting His works in progress in the womb.  It’s a womb, not a tomb.  A Mother, not a murderer.

#3 Vote for Pro-Morality Candidates.  “…Be not deceived: neither fornicators, …nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, …shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (1Corinthians 6:9,10) 

The word “abusers” in the original Greek is “arsenokoites” and means, “homosexuals, male or female, sodomites, prostitutes, male or female, pedophiles.” 

Voting for leaders who seek “Minority Status” and special rights for these perpetrators is an affront to the Almighty.  The individuals, Nations and generations who accept this demonic behavior as “normal” are cursed. (Romans 1:26-32)

#4 Vote for Pro-Capital Punishment Candidates.  “Whoso sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” (Genesis 9:6) 

Some Christians insist that Capital Punishment is part of Moses’ Law and that it has passed away.  This could not be more wrong.  Moses’ Law began in Exodus.  Capital Punishment is a principle introduced in Genesis, BEFORE Moses’ Law.  Read your Bible!  Capital Punishment was incorporated INTO Moses Law and continues AFTER Moses’ Law. (Romans 13:4) 

Neither does the Bible say, “Thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20:13)  It literally says, “You shall not take a life in an unjustifiable manner.”  Taking the lives of life-takers is justifiable if God says it is.  Hence Solomon’s words, “There is … a time to kill.” (Ecclesiastes 3:3,8) 

Say, “Jesus, I choose You and Your Word.” (Romans 10:13) 

Then VOTE God’s Priorities. 

We’ll be blessed as individuals, families and as a Nation.
