Human Prejudice

Man Builds Barriers. God Knocks 'Em Right Down.

by Pastor John Hamel

“[God] hath made of ONE BLOOD ALL NATIONS OF MEN for to dwell on all the face of the earth...” (Acts 17:26

"All flesh is not the same flesh but there is [only] one kind of flesh of men." (1 Corinthians 15:39)

Just so we’re “on the same page” so to speak, I should tell you that I’m Caucasian.  In laymen's terms that means “white.”  The formalities now out of the way, I’ll move right into our subject.

In the above verse we clearly see that God has made all nations, or peoples, from ONE BLOOD.  This means that a “black” man’s blood can save my life and vice versa.  The same is true with all the skin colors.

This also means that there is no such thing as “interracial marriages.”  How could there be?  God made only one Race.  The Human Race.  There is no other Race to marry into.

The Apostle Paul said, "...there is one kind of flesh of men..." (1 Corinthians 15:39) One and one only.  Christians must stop referring to "the races." That is reinforcing Satan's lie.

This also means there is no such thing as "interracial children." How could there be? God made only one race. The Human Race. Children are children. All children are human children.  Period.

The Bible says that Adam is the father of the entire Human Race.  It is from him that we all get our blood. (Romans 5:17-19)

The Bible also says that Eve is the mother of the entire Human Race.  As a matter of fact her name means "Mother of all living." (Genesis 3:20)

I know that’s upsetting to some Christians but it’s Bible nonetheless.  I know Ministers, whom I love dearly, who say foolish things like, “The Whites should go with the Whites, and the Blacks should go with the Blacks.  After all we don’t want to water down the races.”

That’s ignorance gone to seed!  As I've said, there are no races to water down  There is only one Race - the Human Race.  There are no grades or degrees of humanness based on “right” or “wrong” skin pigmentation.  That’s demonic in origin.  I call that evil philosophy “skin-tellectualism.”

You can’t water down the Human Race.  When a “black” sperm comes together with a “white” egg, or vice versa, it is God Who imparts life and “Bingo” another human life is procreated. (Psalm 127:3; 139:1-24; Jeremiah 1:5)

Cats and dogs can’t do this.  They’re different species.  Elephants and horses can’t do it either.  They’re different species.  However, different colors of people of different ethnic backgrounds can do this because they are of the SAME Species.  The Human Species.  This is why a mother can give birth to twins and one child can be “black” and the other “white.”  It’s just time to read the Bible, wake up and adjust, maturely.

Someone always responds to my comments on the nonexistence of “interracial” relationships by saying, “Well, the Bible says to not be unequally yoked with one another.”  That’s right; it does, in Second Corinthians 6:14.  But it’s telling Believers in Christ to not hook up with Christ rejecters.  It is not talking about cultures marrying within other cultures.

It is so important to always read the Bible in context.  You do this by backing up a few verses and see “who” or “what” is being referred to.  In this case, Paul was referring to Christ accepters and Christ rejecters, not “black” and “white” human beings.

Get a clue and get free!  God has one great race and only one! (Click that sentence for a wonderful surprise!) He has equal love for the entire Race.  The Race is free to socialize and even marry, culture to culture.  Don’t let some fear-filled Religious leader or bigoted Political leader tell you otherwise.  Believe the Bible.

There are no inferior “branches” of God’s One Great Race, either.  There is no “Curse of Ham” upon the dark-skinned people of this Planet.  That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard in my life.  That is not even in the Bible.

I’ll give $10,000.00 to anyone who finds it, IN CONTEXT, and can prove it with confirming verses of Scripture.  That's what Jesus said you need in order to be preaching any doctrine. (Matthew 18:16)  Believe me, I won’t be reaching into my wallet anytime soon because the “Curse of Ham” is a lie that’s been puked right up out of the bowels of Hell. (John 8:44)  That doctrine is not in the Bible.  No Preacher, no matter how well meaning or how enlightened he or she may be in other areas, has the right to try to put it in there, either.

While I’m hot on it, let me also say that the Bible does not condone Slavery.  That’s the second dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.  “Men-stealing” is forbidden in Scripture and is punishable by both the Law of God and the Law of Man. (Romans 13:1-8; 1Timothy 1:10) Paul's references to "slavery" are references to indentured servitude.

Indentured servants are individuals who sold themselves and their services to another individual for a certain amount of money over a certain amount of time.  That was a common practice in those days.  As a matter of fact, many nations of the world still utilize this practice.

Paul was simply encouraging those individuals to keep their word to their employers and to do all things as unto the Lord.  Paul was not contradicting himself when he said that "men stealing" is a crime and that "indentured servants" should obey their masters.

Here again we have the situation where referring to the original language will clear up much unnecessary confusion.  Anyone, and I mean anyone, who can read can use either a Greek or a Hebrew dictionary.  They're no different than a French to English or an English to French dictionary.  You simply look up the word in question and the proper definition is dropped right in your lap.

Christians have gotten into trouble concerning God's position on war, capital punishment, homosexuality, abortion, alcohol, prejudice and many other social and moral issues  by simply not researching key words for themselves.

“Pastor John, would you let your white daughter marry a black man and have children?”  Well, anyone who is old enough to get married doesn’t really need permission to begin with.  But yes, of course I would agree, but only after they met the following criteria.

First, I would have to be sure that the both of them were Born Again.  After all, the Apostle Paul said to not be unequally yoked with one another. (2Corinthians 6:14)  Of course, any man who has received the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is also going to get extra points from me.

Next, I would want to know if they both were being led by the inner witness of the Holy Spirit.

Another question I would ask is, “Are you in love with one another?”

After that, I would want to know if they understood fully how the prejudiced people of the world were going to behave towards them and their precious offspring.  Satan, after all, is the temporary god (small “g”) of this world and he’s not about to show them any mercy. (2Corinthians 4:4)

Jesus is coming soon and He’ll fix all that.  But for the moment hatred’s the name of the game, unfortunately, particularly when it comes to cross-cultural marriages.  They’re going to have to be ready to walk in love in a world full of hatred.

Finally, if they were able to answer “Yes” to the first four questions, I would want to know the answer to just one more question.  “Would you like me to perform the ceremony?”

Oh, yes, God have mercy on anyone who comes against my grandchildren.  They’ll face our united family council!

In closing, if you think all Blacks have rhythm, all Whites are klutzes, all Jews are cheap, all Orientals are of superior intellect, all Native Americans are alcoholics, all men are macho, all women are feminists or all children are a pain, you have a problem with stereotyping.

Stereotyping is rooted in prejudice.  Prejudice is sin.  Sin is forgivable.

Say, “Jesus, I choose You.  Give me love for Your One Great Race.”  He’ll do it, too! (John 16:23; Romans 10:13)

Jesus is not prejudiced racially, religiously, sexually or socially.  Neither are His followers.  Plain and simple.

Remember, it is man who builds walls of division on foundations of fear and ignorance.  God just comes along and knocks ‘em right down!

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for YE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS." (Galatians 3:27-28)
